Another CiB award for British Gas values campaign
Redhouse Lane and British Gas Services (BGS) have claimed an award of excellence in the vision and values category at the recent CiB Communication Strategy Awards.
These awards recognise outstanding strategies and campaigns which engage, inspire and inform an organisation's people or clients.
The award was for a campaign, devised by Redhouse Lane, to promote awareness and recognition of BGS's new vision and values among employees – as well as closer collaboration between engineers and call centre support teams.
The concept was based around the ampersand symbol (&) to emphasise the importance of working together, and each of the values was given its own distinct colour to create clear visual links. Taking this distinct look and feel, the two companies developed a campaign encompassing a range of communication channels and incorporating key supporting messages to help individuals understand the new values.
CiB judges described the entry as "a thoughtful, engaging campaign which hits the spot when it comes to launching vision and values". While feedback from BGS employees revealed that, as a result of the campaign, 92% now clearly understand what the values mean and where the company is going.
Mo Salter, Head of Internal Communications and Engagement at BGS, was delighted with the result: "Redhouse Lane immediately understood the challenges we faced, and created a compelling campaign that generated real excitement around the new values and company strategy."
