Tell us some of your RLC highlights?

I’ve been involved in some great projects over the years, which are usually wanted yesterday. One of my favourites has to be organising the Scottish Qualification Authority’s 80th Anniversary, including presentation box and book, flags, chocolates, invites, menus and a lighting show.

More recently I’ve been closely involved in a very large graphics hoarding for Edinburgh airport. Once complete, it’ll be nearly 200 metres long.

Also not forgetting the day it was announced that we’d get our birthday off!

If you could swap identities for a day, who would you be and why?

From work, it’d have to be someone with a view out the window!

What magazine or newspaper do you enjoy reading for pleasure and why?

My favourite read has to be Private Eye, for two reasons. I love the humour, especially the cartoons. And also it generally means I’m off on holiday as I always pick one up at the airport!

Tell us about your culinary skills, do you have a favourite dish to cook?

I really like to cook, but my skills are firmly based on following someone else’s recipe. One of my favourite dishes is lamb stew with chestnuts and pomegranate, with a twist: no chestnuts.

Tell us your favourite aspect of a regular day at RLC?

I really enjoy the variety of my role. I can be liaising with a client one minute, a supplier the next, then discussing print ideas with the designers or helping to keep the studio running smoothly – I never know what’ll happen next! I’m also lucky enough to have a great team around me. The icing on the cake is being able to cycle to and from work, even in this weather.

Where do you plan to spend your next summer holiday?

We hope to spend our first family holiday in Cornwall. We have some friends in St Agnes, where I hear the weather’s always great and the beaches amazing. I can’t wait… to see who’ll be on the front cover of Private Eye then.
